Start date: May 1, 2024

Total grant amount: EUR 31,000,000.00

Support intensity: up to 85%

Objective: Establishment of new e-services or upgrading existing public administration e-services accessible to citizens and businesses.

Eligible applicants: State administration bodies and public institutions

Eligible project activities:

• Development of reliable, intuitive, and inclusive user-focused e-services

• Strengthening capacity for e-government services and digitalization within the public sector – data standardization and information usage to better meet the needs of citizens and businesses

• Strengthening the cyber security of public e-services

• Developing capacities and skills for managing digital transformation

• Raising public awareness of existing e-government services through targeted promotion to motivate and increase the use of e-services

2. Digitalization of Local and Regional Government Services

Start date: July 1, 2024

Total grant amount: EUR 10,000,000.00

Support intensity: 85%

Objective: Establishment of new e-services or upgrade existing e-services of local and regional administrations that are accessible to citizens

Eligible applicants: Local and regional government units

Eligible activities for funding:

• Development of functional specifications for the e-service being developed, based on an analysis of processes and administrative needs

• Development of new innovative e-services for aspects relevant in various public sectors according to e-service development standards, ensuring interoperability with existing and in-development systems

• Integration of developed e-services into the central e-Citizens portal

• Promotion and visibility of the e-service, outreach to citizens

3. Strengthening the Economy through Investment in Research and Innovation, Supporting Business Competitiveness, Digitalization, and Skill Development for Smart Specialization

Start date: September 1, 2024

Total grant amount: EUR 10,000,000.00

Support intensity: up to 85%

Objective: Establishment of new innovative e-services and public administration digital products accessible to citizens

Eligible applicants: State administration bodies and public institutions

Eligible activities:

• Establishment of a GovTechLab ecosystem

• Analysis of processes and identification of needs for innovation, problem-solving, and development of complex services for e-government

• Development of future digital solutions through the introduction of advanced technologies, innovative digital products, and services for aspects relevant in various public administration sectors according to e-service development standards, ensuring interoperability with existing and in-development systems

• Integration of developed e-services into the central e-Citizens portal

• Promotion and visibility of e-services with an outreach to citizens

4. Development of Tourism Infrastructure and Health and Active Tourism Products that Contribute to Social Inclusion and Sustainable Tourism Development

Start date: December 30, 2024

Total grant amount: EUR 40,000,000.00

Support intensity: up to 85%

Objective: To encourage inclusive and sustainable economic and social development and social inclusion of the population through tourism, especially in areas heavily reliant on the tourism ecosystem, by ensuring the infrastructural prerequisites for the development of new diversified tourism products and services based on the authenticity and traditional values of local communities.

Eligible applicants:

• Public bodies/institutions

• Regional and local governments

Eligible activities:

• Renovation, reconstruction, repurposing, and construction of tourism and sports infrastructure facilities aimed at stimulating economic growth and creating quality jobs

• Procurement of equipment and tools, including digital technologies that serve the development of new business models based on the authenticity of local communities, cultural and natural heritage, health, and sports

• Preparation of studies, analyses, and other necessary documentation and other supportive activities
