Recovery and Resilience through Innovative Solutions

Fina, a renowned state institution, serves Croatian citizens and businesses nationwide.

Recognizing the importance of digital development, Fina identified the need for an easily accessible platform to support Croatia’s economic recovery.

By developing the FondoviEU platform, users can now view, apply for, and implement projects co-financed by EU funds, driving progress and resilience.

Fina – The All-Croatian Financial Agency

For over 60 years, Fina has been a cornerstone for Croatian citizens and businesses, digitally transforming the region with essential digital products, services, and solutions.

To achieve its strategic goal as a driving force and key player in the digitalization of society, Fina initiated the development of a digital platform for EU projects.

Through an open call, Gauss was selected as the best candidate and subcontractor to create this innovative platform.

Facing Challenges for a Better Future

The global pandemic and international conflicts have posed significant challenges to the European economy, particularly for Croatia, which was additionally impacted by earthquakes.

In response, the European Union introduced the Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF) as part of the broader NextGenerationEU (NGEU) initiative, aimed at economic recovery for member states.

The Croatian government secured EUR 10.5 billion within the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NPOO) to be utilized by 2026. But how can all these funds be efficiently used within the set timeframe?

Efficient Use of Available Funds through a Digital Solution

Leveraging our extensive experience in developing digital platforms and solutions, we seized the opportunity to create a robust system to help the implementation of all NPOO co-financed projects.

The FondoviEU information system supports the viewing, application, monitoring, and implementation of EU projects, enabling the withdrawal and justification of funds from the NPOO operational program.

Electronic project applications streamline the timely exchange of information and documentation between users and relevant authorities, easing the implementation process.

This demanding and complex process is simplified through a unified and functional interface.
